CONSTITUTION DAY

September 17, 2025

Constitution Day 2025 is a national day of action that calls on lawyers and the communities they serve to stand up for our founding principles. In towns and cities across the country, nonpartisan events will remind Americans that the Constitution protects all of us, belongs to all of us, and must be preserved by all of us. This moment kicks off a year-long campaign to educate, engage, and equip people—lawyers and non-lawyers alike—to defend the rule of law and strengthen constitutional democracy.

On Law Day (May 1, 2025), more than 50 major in-person events took place across the country, drawing thousands of participants. Alongside a national webinar, these gatherings created powerful moments for people to publicly or privately reaffirm their oath to the Constitution. The impact was substantial.

At each event, members of the legal profession—joined by judges, elected officials, civic and business leaders, and other defenders of the rule of law—stood in solidarity to affirm that we are a nation governed by the rule of law, not rule by law.

As Constitution Day approaches, the legal community has another opportunity to lead by helping Americans understand why the Constitution matters in their daily lives and why defending it is everyone’s responsibility.
